The Kia Stonic is the smallest SUV to date and comes with a variety of design options so owners can customise their model to suit their tastes, including 20 two-tone bodywork colour combinations.
With the dimensions of a hatchback but a raised ride height, the Stonic can take on the urban and rural environments well, and with stability features, such as electronic stability control and vehicle stability management system – which includes torque vectoring by braking, straight line stability and cornering brake control – you can be reassured on the road.
The cabin has been ergonomically engineered to suit European drivers especially and with technological features at its heart, the Stonic has plenty of accessories to get your teeth into. Kia also adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that can be paired with the touchscreen infotainment system, which is the centrepiece of the cabin.
Under the bonnet owners have the option of four lightweight units – three petrol and one diesel – which all offer peppy performance. The 1.0-litre turbocharged GDI petrol unit offers 118bhp, while you also get the choice of a 1.25- and 1.4-litre petrol and the 1.6-litre diesel that offers the lowest level of emissions of the range.
The compact structure doesn’t limit interior spaciousness, however, as you get 352 litres of boot room and class-leading passenger space.
To keep you safe on the road, Kia fits a range of their Drive Wise advanced driver assistance systems including autonomous emergency braking, forward collision alert, blind spot detection and lane departure warning, as well as high beam assist and driver attention warning.
