The Kia Ceed is available in a variety of forms: as a hatchback, a sportswagon, or a sporty GT model. The Ceed prides itself on an inspiring design and an array of advanced technology, both of which result in an adventurous and reliable vehicle that can handle any situation that might arise in day-to-day driving and beyond.
The exterior of the Ceed creates an imposing impression through the distinctive Kia front grille, highlighted with chrome and set on either side by the LED headlights. The smooth lines of the vehicle create a pleasing overall shape, and the manner in which the Ceed has been streamlined gives the car excellent aerodynamic qualities, improving performance and fuel efficiency.
On the inside, a wide range of technological features are fitted as standard, providing information and entertainment at the press of a button. The seats have been ergonomically shaped, offering good lumbar support even on long journeys. The luggage space can be increased through the split folding rear seats, the initial 380 litres opening up to an impressive 1,318 litres. The panoramic sunroof brings a whole new atmosphere to any drive, and the satellite navigation system is controlled through the use of a 7" colour touch-screen with full postcode recognition.
Four engine options are available with the Ceed. Petrol and diesel options are available in 1.4-litreand 1.6-litre models, and there is a choice of manual or automatic transmissions. Kia has also developed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), which combines an automatic's convenience with the efficiency of manual transmission. Combined fuel consumption for the most economical Ceed models, equipped with the 1.6 litre CRDi diesel unit, is 76mpg – and CO2 emissions are as low as 97g/km.
Having been awarded the coveted five-star Euro NCAP safety award, the Ceed can be relied upon to provide excellent protection in the event of an accident. Kia has installed an advanced airbag system, providing six airbags as standard to protect all occupants of the vehicle. The Lane Departure Warning System works to ensure the car does not drift during motorway driving, and the ISOFIX tethers allow for the easy installation of child safety seats.
